Our Mission Statement
The Claire Taylor Foundation is a Fairfield County-based 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit organization that builds future leaders and change-makers. We fight systemic poverty by providing healthy food programs and supporting students with resources and funding for higher education.
Our History
The Claire Taylor Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded by Claire Taylor in July of 2022. Claire Taylor, a lifetime member of Girl Scouts of the USA and a young philanthropist based in Fairfield County, Connecticut, is a proud graduate of the University of Hartford.
The foundation leads with action and advocacy to end the cycle of poverty by providing families with healthy food programs and educational funding. In October of 2022, we launched the CTF Cares initiative, which provided thousands of families with access to a weekly food drive offering large, family-sized packages of nutritious produce and other foods, including organic, kosher, vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free options.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, over 34 million people, including 9 million children, experience food insecurity annually in the United States. By addressing this urgent issue, the CTF Cares initiative works to ensure families receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
In addition to fighting food insecurity, CTF provides scholarships and grants to high school students aspiring to pursue college degrees in music, visual arts education, and STEM programs. Through funding higher education, CTF uplifts the leaders and change-makers of tomorrow, empowering them to break barriers and build brighter futures.
